Eco friendly lawn care has never been so easy
April 20, 2007, OSHAWA, ON – The Environmental Factor, manufacturers of Canada’s first non-chemical weed control, TurfMaize, is launching the Persea Natural Care System for lawns; the first do-it-yourself lawn care system of its kind without chemical pesticides.
The Persea system includes a complete step by step calendar, an attach and spray fish fertilizer and biostimulant, enhanced endophyte grass seed, neem oil, a pH soil analysis kit and a weeding tool. Harmful pesticides have been banned in over 75 municipalities, including Toronto, Halifax, North Vancouver, and most recently Pickering and Oakville. In Quebec, legislation passed last spring sharply restricts their use.
“Homeowners now have a choice that’s environmentally friendly and safe for pets,” says Lorelei Hepburn, founder and chief executive officer of The Environmental Factor, one of Canada’s largest natural lawn-care companies. “It’s all about changing the world one lawn at a time.”
Later this month, The Environmental Factor will be an exhibitor at the Green Living Show (April 27-29) in Toronto at which Al Gore, former US Vice-President, and author of An Inconvenient Truth, will be a guest speaker.
